Polycentric Sustainable Tourism [POST]

Dr James Hanrahan Work Package lead

The POST project is led by Eixo Atlantico, a cross-border association of municipalities from Galicia (Spain) and North Portugal. The lead partners in Ireland are the Department on Business and Social Science at ATU and Dún Laoghaire–Rathdown County Council. The consortium is made up of partners from Spain, Portugal, and France. All partners represent regions where the tourism plays a significant role. The aim of the project is to find ways of attracting tourists away from areas experiencing mass tourism using the concepts of signature tourism and polycentric tourism.
